Applications are now open for the 2027 Martina Roeselová Memorial Fellowship. The fellowship supports early-career researchers who are striving to combine excellent research with primary or equally shared care for a preschool-aged child. Applications may be submitted until September 15, 2026.

The fellowship provides financial support of CZK 150,000 for one calendar year. It is intended for PhD students and early-career postdoctoral researchers who are facing difficult personal circumstances, are caring for a preschool-aged child, and are conducting research at universities or public research institutions in the Czech Republic.

Since its launch in 2016, the fellowship has supported 70 early-career researchers. During its first years, it was open only to applicants in the natural sciences. Since last year, however, it has been open to applicants from all academic disciplines, including the humanities and social sciences.

Applications for the 2027 fellowship may be submitted until September 15, 2026.
