Linda Štucbartová, DES, MBA, a well-known entrepreneur and lecturer, joins the foundation in its fifth year of operation, at a time when it is undergoing a transformation aimed at expanding its resources to provide systematic support for the technology transfer ecosystem in the Czech Republic.

“I have been in touch with the foundation since its early days. We worked together on a student scholarship program, and I have closely followed the remarkable impact it has made in the field of science,” says Linda Štucbartová. “The foundation is now facing the challenge of increasing its income so that it can continue supporting the development of science and, in particular, the transfer of scientific discoveries into practical applications. I am delighted to join forces with the foundation and to build on Barbara’s work at its helm.”

Linda Štucbartová specializes in leadership, communication, and negotiation. She studied international relations in Prague, Oxford, and Geneva and later worked at the Diplomatic Academy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. She has founded several companies, including ESD Czechia, which focuses on security and resilience for individuals and organizations. Between 2017 and 2023, she served on Charles University’s Board for the Commercialisation. She currently serves as vice president of the Czech-Israeli Mutual Chamber of Commerce, where she is responsible for the science, research, and innovation section. She also coordinated the Czech-Israeli Innovation Scholarships program, a joint initiative of the Neuron Foundation and the IOCB Tech Foundation.

She succeeds Dr. Barbara Eignerová, who has been involved with the foundation since its establishment in 2022. “Over the four years since our founding, thanks to the generous support of our founder, we have built one of the most significant philanthropic organizations supporting science and science communication in the Czech Republic,” says Barbara Eignerová, reflecting on the foundation’s achievements to date. “We are now entering a new phase, strengthening our ties with IOCB Prague and placing greater emphasis on supporting technology transfer. I very much look forward to working with Linda and to seeing where we can take the foundation together in the years ahead.”

Barbara Eignerová remains a member of the foundation’s board. She continues to apply her combined expertise in chemistry and law at the Institute of Organic Chemistry and Biochemistry of the Czech Academy of Sciences and, most recently, at the Second Economic Transformation initiative, where she focuses on improving the legislative environment for science and research in the Czech Republic.
